SOFNT Inc. Launches Medical Shoes ‘Vlomfy’ [Source] Apparel News

Second brand of medical clothing brand 'Atvlo'

Biodegradable materials applied, ergonomic design

[Apparel News Reporter Park Hae-young] Medical material and clothing specialist SOFNT (CEO Han Seol-ah) has launched medical shoes 'Vlomfy' following the medical uniform 'ATVLO'.

SOFNT is a company that has developed antiviral and antibacterial medical materials based on absorbent nanofiber structure manufacturing technology. Last year, it introduced 'ATVLO', a functional medical wear with antiviral functions, using this technology. 'ATVLO' consists of a technical line with antiviral functions based on nanotechnology, a primo line using eco-friendly materials, and a basic line with the advantage of easy care.

The company succeeded in attracting investment in the first year of launching medical clothing, and then successfully attracted 1 billion won in pre-A investment in June. As investment continues, it is accelerating the expansion of new categories.

The shoes launched this season, 'Vlomfy', are biodegradable and feature antiviral and antibacterial functions, made with eco-friendly bio materials. They are also designed ergonomically, with 3D patterns, considering the lifestyles of medical professionals, and performance technology to prevent medical accidents is also incorporated. The soles of the shoes feature an anti-slip function, and holes are placed on the sides to prevent exposure to blood, viruses, etc. The selling price is 70,000 won, making them competitively priced.

'Vlomfy' is a product jointly developed by SOFNT Inc., YC Tech, and Eulji University through the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's design innovation capacity enhancement project. Domestic trademark rights, design rights, and patent applications have been completed and overseas registration is in progress.

Distribution is conducted in a dual manner, both domestically and internationally.

In Korea, we plan to sell through medical closed malls, our own malls, and veterinary contracts, or by directly supplying to hospitals, associations, and bio companies.

Overseas, sales will begin on the American crowdfunding platform Kickstarter in September, and on Indiegogo in January of next year. Sales will begin on Taiwan’s Jekjek in May of next year.
